Product History
In 2006 Spacedox was created to provide large document management, viewing and collaboration services to construction companies, architects and government agencies. An unlimited license of ProjectDox was purchase and rebranded to Spacedox then offered as a Saas.
Note: ProjectDox is an application built around the Brave application. Brava is a standalone application.
Our 1st customer was the US Post Office. We provided the Post Office a central repository of large blueprint drawing files (mostly PDF's and DWGs) for about 40 of their federal buildings. The Post Office documents could be accessed, viewed and marked up online.
Around 2010 we directed much of our development and marketing efforts towards municipality building departments. Most municipalities have adopted electronic permitting but It is widely known that the majority of building departments still require paper plan sets for reviews. This issue is gradually changing as "older" Building Officials and plan reviewers retire and are replaced by those trained using/and more comfortable with electronic media. Spacedox went offline in 2018.
In 2017 we reprogrammed the Spacedox document portal. The new portal, named Doxit, integrates with Projectdox, Spacedox and Bluebeam and has features not offered by other portals. Doxit was never rolled out to market.
