Monitors
Size does matter in the case of monitors but not as much as you might think. Some reviewers like to use one large monitor and others prefer 2 monitors. If you choose one big monitor we recommend 32" to 40". Big monitors are, well..., big. Think: sitting 2 ' away from your 32" or 40" television. It remains a matter of personal preference for each person. Opening 1 or multiple documents and/or multiple drawings concurrently becomes possible in either case.
Large tabletop monitors are now available for around $4000 to $5000 each. Using a stylus, a reviewer can turn pages, markup, measure sf and distances and review. They are still working out some of the kinks in the tabletop monitors but the technology is here and it works.
Most important, whatever monitor you choose, Spacedox will work for you. Spacedox is designed from the ground up to work with large format documents and has 6 different zoom functions to choose from. Some of you may always yearn to touch paper (don't worry--paper will never go away totally!) but we believe that once you make the change from paper reviews to Spacedox reviews that the power and flexibility of electronic reviews with such benefits as overlay comparisons and measuring, just to name two, will eventually become your new standard.
